Lion Samuel Olato Roars into Leadership of Soroti District Lions Club
In a vibrant and festive atmosphere, Lion Samuel Olato the youngest president in the club’s history was officially installed this evening of 27th July 2024 as the President of Soroti District Lions Club for the 2024-2025 lionistic year.
The colorful dinner ceremony, held at the Soroti Lion Club hall, was filled with excitement and anticipation as members gathered to witness the transition of leadership. He took over from Lion Dr. Naume Amuron. The flamboyant occasion was graced by Lion Dr Wilson Kasoolo of Lions club of Jinja as the chief guest and Lion Dr. John Ekure of Kumi Orthopaedic as the guest of honor.
With a strong vision for community service and growth, President Olato is set to lead the club to new heights, building on the legacy of his predecessors.
Our Activities this lionistic year include
Hunger; Feed the Hungry in hospitals, Prisons, Street, and the needy in our communities
Environment; Plant 5,000 trees, Advocate for environmental protection, Drainage management
Childhood Cancer; Run campaigns against child hood cancer, do sanitization against child hood cancer
Youth; Organize youth skilling events, Form LEO clubs around the city to join the service activities
Disaster preparedness; Join other teams in management of disasters in the country
